Guided Kayak Tours of Ganguddy (Dunns Swamp)

Southern Cross Kayaking operates guided tours of scenic Ganguddy from the last week of September through to the end of April on weekends, and everyday throughout the school holidays during this period. This is a fantastic opportunity for visitors to experience the natural beauty of the area, while learning a bit about the natural and cultural history of the Cudgegong River in Wollemi National Park. From the long history of the Wiradjuri people, to the first European settlement; learn about the famous 'lady bushranger', and discover how they built the weir that formed the waterway as it exists today.

Tours run for two hours, commencing at 9am and are suitable for anyone 12 years and over. No previous kayaking experience is necessary. Cost is $50 per person and includes kayak & paddle hire, experienced staff to provide paddling instruction, safety briefings and they'll guide you through the area providing commentary, a life vest and dry bags to keep your valuables safe - though it is advised to keep any unnecessary valuables back on dry land. Paddlers can expect to see a huge variety of birds and wildlife as they glide along the water, through picturesque woodlands and towering sandstone pagoda rock formations.
